This is a painting of a beach scene from my visit to Costa Rica. I wanted to debunk the notion that watercolor paintings lack detail....

I was stuck somewhere waiting for someone, and I found a tiny 1" photo of Gene Simmons in a magazine, so I grabbed my tablet and did a quick pencil sketch. Then while waiting for other paintings to dry in my class I finished up this life-size painting! It cracks me up!
