When I first moved into my palace, the first thing to do was set up the arcade. I love to find icons from my youth and snatch them up for fun. From mini-bikes to toys, I am basically still a big kid. I just enjoy collecting things that bring me joy, like my favorite arcade games. By far my most favorite coin-op game is BATTLEZONE, from 1980. I just love this game, and I had the opportunity 12 years ago to purchase one when a friend of mine's arcade went BK. So this was the first addition to the arcade. Then came XENON, which was the first pinball machine I ever saw. Next, in a completelly random moment, I found a guy selling 2 SORCERER machines cheap, basically because his wife was bitching at him to clear them out of the garage. Then in a lengthy and involved set of trades, I scored a PINBOT machine. This machine was one that I played every day in college. Finally, I just got a BLACK KNIGHT machine which is another gem from my youth (circa 1980). I was surprised to discover that the BLACK KNIGHT machine is actually the most collected machines around. I guess I am not the only pinball nut out there! I have spent a lot of time fixing and cleaning these machines so the are like new, and me and my friends have an absolute blast playing them. The bummer part is when my buddy Eddie comes over and kicks my butt on my own machines. How rude, huh?
